Perhaps,
I am one of the luckiest girl in this planet, an ordinary person who achieved a
very wonderful blessing to study and live in a beautiful part of Europe.
Freudenthal Institute for Science and Mathematics Education, Utrecht
University, a university which has came on my dream since the first time I
brave to start dreaming. The adventure started at the end of January 2013 and
ended almost exactly a year from that time, the end of January 2014. Hopefully
it just a temporary ending and will be continued in the next future years, Aamiin…
Besides
many experiences of learning from wonderful teachers and studying in great
libraries, travelling is another interesting part of living as a student in one
of the most beautiful countries in Europe, or perhaps, it’s the most
interesting part. The Netherlands itself has many worth-visited museums and
most-visited tourist attractions such as kinderdijk-the world heritage UNESCO,
madurodam-the miniature of Europe, and else. Moreover, every city in
Netherlands has its own unique. For instance, Amsterdam with its famous Dame
Square and Red Light District, Rotterdam with many beautiful and unique
building such as Cubic House, its central station, and so on. Hence, visiting
each of those cities is also a must.
However,
for a student who only have a year period of study, it is really not easy to
manage the time for studying, gathering with friends, and travelling wisely.
Fortunately, in between the deathful deadlines, I could visit several cities in
the Netherlands and some cities in some part of Europe. In weekends, by doing
solo travelling or a group travelling, I explored many interesting cities in
Netherland. And, in the quite long holidays, together with my friends, I had
opportunities to visit some cities outside Europe.
There are
three quite long holidays when we could spend for travelling, Easter holiday,
Summer Holiday, and Christmas holiday. In the Ester Holiday, we have 5 days off.
At that time, me and other seven friends of mine travelled to Brussels
(Belgium) and Paris (France).

Summer holiday is a quite long holiday and we
spent 10 days to travel in five countries in Central Europe namely Budapest
(Hungary), Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Prague (Czech Republic),
and Milan (Italy). In the beginning of Christmas holiday, me and my friend
visited a Turkish friend in Istanbul (Turk) and in the end of Christmas holiday
I did a solo traveling to Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmo (Sweden). And, in one
of the weekends I together with two friends spent in Netherlands, I could visit
Aachen (Germany).
January
2013 – January 2014 is a very wonderful year for me, one year – twelve
countries. Hope this wonderful experience will reflect bring me to a very
wonderful future, Aamin..
